Cottageology is a resource for all things cottage-related, encouraging more people to renovate, restore and preserve traditional buildings, turning them into living history. Cottageology was set up in 2012 by Orla Fitzmaurice and is now run by Imogen Bertin.

- Vernacular Heritage
- Use of innovative, sustainable, evidence-based ecological building materials and solutions
- Collaborative sharing of knowledge and resources to keep individual costs down
- We are also working towards the creation of a network of “Guardians” of traditionally constructed buildings in Ireland, similar to the work of Maisons Paysannes de France.
