This is an audio documentary on the restoration and launch of a Hooker Boat by the Galway Hooker Sailing Club. The boat named Loveen (a Gleoiteog ) was originally built by Reaney boatbuilders as a bád iomartha (a row boat) in 1925. It was used to transport goods along the West Coast and was rigged for sailing in the 70’s. The documentary features interviews with Club Commodore Ciaran Oliver, master boat builder Coilín Hernon and crew. It captures the moment when it was put into the water at Long walk exactly as John Francis Reaney did and the official launch in October 2021.
