Massy’s Estate Walled Garden

In 1800 the Killakee Estate which contained the infamous Hellfire Club was acquired by Luke White of the Hugenot de Blanc family.

Killakee House was built in around 1800 and boasted one of Ireland’s finest Victorian gardens. The photo shows one of the main archways to what was once the walled garden on Massy’s Estate which contained fountains and magnificent curvilinear conservatories by Richard Turner, which contained many exotic plants.
