Currachs as pub decoration (1)

On my last trip to Dingle I found two beautiful models of fishing currachs in pubs, used for decoration. One at Dick Macks’s Pub in Dingle and the other one at Murphy’s Bar in Brandon.

I could not gain reliable information who built them. Monty O’Leary from Castlegregory and Eddie Hutch from Dingle are known for there models of currachs, but that is just a guess.

Brandon Pier is an excellent spot for currach races. Outside the pub, I found one beautiful currach with the hull reinforced smoothly with fibreglass.
