Plan of an Aran Island currach by James Hornell

On a visit in Killarney in 2014, I took these photographs in a gift shop somewhere in the town centre.

It is very finely and precisely made and I wonder if it was originally made for this purpose or it was once on water?

Looks like the shape of an Aran Island currach because of the straight stern section. The plan by James Hornell does not show a mast whole, but on some historical photos they have that.
