Sligo Community Archaeology Project

Welcome to the Sligo Community Archaeology Project’s page. This page is dedicated to promoting the Archaeology of Sligo County. We are dedicated to working with Community Groups and encouraging the public to engage with their local archaeology.

For 2023, the Sligo Community Archaeology Project is being delivered by Project Archaeologist Jeff O’Neill, a former Sligo ATU Archaeology graduate, and managed by Angela Wallace, Atlantic Archaeology on behalf of the Heritage Office, Sligo County Council.

For more information on activities please check out and like our Facebook Page

The ‘Sligo Community Archaeology Project’ is an initiative of Sligo Heritage Forum and is an action of the County Sligo Heritage Plan.
