Celebrating May

Welcome to this special section dedicated to May!

Here you can find out about May customs and traditions in Ireland, read and share memories about May Day's Past and help us conduct a national survey which aims to find out how and where we are still 'welcoming the summer' in the 21st century.

You can volunteer to help out with the survey by talking to older people, teachers and local groups to find out if May Eve or May Day is still celebrated in your area and submit a form on behalf of your community. Find out more
