Religious Celebrations in local parishes

This is a photo taken in Pearse House. A block of flats on the other side of the river where my father came from. His family lived in 22E Pearse House. It’s a photo of a religious celebration, possibly Corpus Christi or for the May alter. May alters were erected in both communities and schools,  celebrating Our Blessed Lady. My grandmother is third from the left holding a small child. Her name was Elizabeth Byrne (Nee Levy). She was married to my grandfather James Byrne who served in the army.
