Maria’s parents ran “Mattie’s of Sheriff Street” from the 1950s to the 1970s. Recently, Maria went back to the North Inner City to photograph the people of Sheriff Street. And her photos are now part of a major photography exhibition called The Pride of Place, opening shortly as part of the Five Lamps Arts Festival.
