O'Connell St Bridge and O'Connell Bridge House also Known as the Heineken Building

This was part of an area of town that was referred to as uptown. It stretched from Amiens St, Talbot St., North Earl St., O'Connell St. etc. Cleary's was the Department Store that everyone queued up outside of for hours to see Santa. People also socialised in this part go town.

According to Wikipedia O’Connell Bridge was originally called Carlisle Bridge. It’s built in Granite, Portland Stone. Construction commenced in 1791 and was completed in 1882.
