Wexford, 27 June, 1963"In June 1963 John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the great-grandson of Irish emigrants, became the first serving U.S. President to visit Ireland. As part of a European tour, President Kennedy spent a hectic four days in Ireland, visiting Dublin, Wexford, Cork, Galway and Limerick.Using artefacts, documents, photographs, film footage and personal memories this online exhibition celebrates the 50th anniversary of his visit to Galway City.Project Co-ordinator: Brendan McGowanSpecial thanks to John F.
