On a bright afternoon,

At the shipyard named Harland and Wolff,

At Queen’s Island in Belfast Lough,

An excited crowd started to gather,

Waiting for their dream liner to launch.

Nobody knew the danger waiting ahead,

People just smiled,

Thinking of their future adventures,

Thinking of their dreams coming true.

Now it was time to say goodbye.

Mothers cried, not wanting to let go.

People hugged and wished each other luck.

Nobody had the slightest clue,

It was a goodbye forever.

The liner started to launch,

People cheered and threw hats in the air

As a sign of good luck for such an exciting journey,

Others waved, trying to find familiar faces,

Who knew, that they will never see those faces again.

The ship glided across the shiny blue water.

The people have already settled,

Waiting for the exciting part to begin,

Those couple of days,

And their new life will begin…
