Emigrant's Suitcase
By Aoibhe Regan, 2nd year.
As I get ready to go,
I watch the clock
and say goodbye to everything I know.
I have dreaded this day to come,
And now it is here I feel numb.
I have no idea if it’s the right choice
Or will I ever make it back.
My family will move on without me.
It’s time to hand in my key.
What I have done,
I know to be wrong.
So I pack my brown suitcase.
And decide to move on.
