Emigrant's Suitcase

I was off to the airport with my grandfather Seán,

I had to share a suitcase with my brother John,

All that was in my grandfather’s bag was the old empty teapot along with all the rags.

Since mine and John’s suitcase was fancy looking,

When we got on the train, it was stolen.

The perfect thing grandfather had said,

That he should have taken it with him instead.

All the way back on a boyne carocle,

Me and John had to sin a sorrow.
