Titanic 2012

Fog across waters
That are now silent
Tears shed are but no more
Memories of 1912 awakened
By the sound of peeling bell
Voices calling from the depths.
Recall the unknown and unsung heros
That found their resting home on the titanic
Names of fourteen lie etched on stone
In every book and journal
Recalling memories of a dreadful night in 1912
Awakens the dead
Their rising spirits
Cross the stillness of a village
That Lies in mourning one hundred years on
Coldness pierces the air
As names of victims
Linger to resonate with people standing
In the church of painted windows
Sounds of prayers fill the night
Sadness has come to grasp the souls of man woman and child
As memories of fourteen are brought to life
Embarking on a life of freedom
They boarded the titanic
America their destination
Excitement in every bone
As they would embrace
The wonders Of another country
Disaster struck
In the middle of the arctic night
A ship of steel was brought to the bottom of the sea
Like Rome a city of greatness, brought to it’s knees
Titanic a relic to all who spoke of her
Is recalled with reverence and pride
In a place called Laherdan.
Please remember them
