Our Lady coming to visit

By Anne Joyce

Flowers made by Anne Joyce for the exhibition in the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life

My memory

I was about eight years of age and my mother and I used to go out to the fields and pick wild flowers. The types we picked were buttercups, cowslips and primroses. I put these flowers around the door. It was about Our Lady coming to visit us on the first of May.
