Growing up in Cavan in the 1980’s my family always went out to the garden on the morning of May 1st. We wiped the dew off the grass with our hands and brushed our faces with it. We ask Mary for good health and healthy skin! My parents continue this in Cavan. I now live in Dublin and continue it too (when I remember in the morning rush)! This was a tradition for my Mam growing up and for her mam also. I have yet to hear of others doing this!??
