The National Museum of Ireland, Decorative Arts and History, Collins Barracks opened as a Museum in 1997. The exhibition galleries focus on modern history, from the 1650s onwards.
In addition to history and military history, the exhibitions show decorative arts material such as silver, ceramics and glass as well as clothing, jewellery and furniture.
When researching this stop, we got to see the objects pictured below, which relate to Daniel O’Connell, Charles Stewart Parnell and Jim Larkin that are in the Museum’s stores.
