We got to meet Jim Larkin’s grand-daughter, Stella McConnon and she generously agreed to meet us and be interviewed by us at Collins Barracks.

We researched and prepared the questions we wanted to ask her and she told us about her memories of the commissioning and unveiling of her grandfather Jim Larkin’s statue on Dublin’s O’Connell Street. She also brought along some objects that had belonged to her grandfather, such as his pipe – it was really special to get to see and hold these objects.
