Don’t worry your head about it Andrew you are more than welcome through your people’s door here in gobhran na laoise I am peeling back the centuries here with no more than a barrow and shovel I think this is the site of an ancient fort I’ve identified several round foundations and an old road passing behind the sheds bridged on both sides.

This is the house of my great great grandparents and my mother’s family, and was retained in the Boland family until my uncle, Thomas Boland passed away in 2017. The house was recently sold. Perhaps for the first time in over 140 years it will no longer be associated with the Boland family.
