American Curate

This priest spent a short time abroad as he ministered to his communities.

Patrick Brennan was born at Ballinamore, Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo on 17th January 1898. Unfortunately, there is not much information about his youthful life apart from his emigration to the U. S.

Studies

He entered Ferndale Connecticut to study for the priesthood.  He was professed during 1921.

Illness

He contacted tuberculosis during his time there but recovered.

Ordination

Patrick Brennan was ordained during 1925 at Ferndale Connecticut.

Appointment

Fr. Brennan was appointed to the Irish Mission Band in Philadelphia until it ceased to operate.

Curate

He was transferred then as a curate to the Blessed Sacrament parish in the same city.

Ill – Health

Due to his ill health he was hospitalized at various times.

Workload

Once recovered Fr. Brennan returned to work in several parishes attached to the Congregation at Millvale, Tiverton of Cornwells.

Bay City

Fr. Brennan’s last posting was in St. Joseph’s, Bay City.

Demise

Fr. Brennan was just forty-four years when his demise occurred during June 1944.
