The local history of Kells is an irresistible fabric. Learn the history of the roads we drive or walk on every day, the local stories, the reason for local nicknames for streets, and more!

A great way to while away a couple of hours this Sunday afternoon walking and chatting and finish up with Coffee and Cake by a local fire.

Led by local amateur historian Joe Rourke, and tour guide, Lucy O’Reilly, our Local History Walks are a great way to find out more about Kells and the people who helped to shape it, meet new people, share your own knowledge while increasing your sense of belonging to the town.
