May Altar, May Dew, Flowers on the Doorstep

I am very interested and enjoy these May traditions myself and have left flowers on doorstep of neighbours for the past four years. I am teaching in Scoil Raifteirí and passed these on to the children in third class, they were delighted with the ideas and also participated with six children putting out flowers. We did not go out to collect the dew until school started (well after dawn!) but one child had done this tradition at home already with her mum. We made a May altar in the classroom and it currently has two lovely bunches of flowers the children have collected. We hope to keep it replenished during the month.
