  • Christmas in the forty’s Christmas morning a priest had to say three masses and you had to be fasting from midnight the night before to receive holy communion You were obliged under pain of mortal sin to attend Sunday mass. Confessions were monthly and people did not receive holy communion every time they went to mass. People were very religious in these times and the rosary was said every night what a change in 2020.
