Font at Roevehagh Church

Who knows something about it?

This is the baptismal font at Roevehagh Church. It has an unusual shape reminiscent of a pot or an upside down bell. The inscription on the side reads 30/3/1906 but its arrival in the church is considerably more recent than that, perhaps sometime in the 1980s.

If anyone knows anything about its history or where it came from or if it was originally something else, we would love to hear about it. Please let us know in the comments below or email us at clarinbridge.heritage@gmail.com.
